Morning Announcements & Lunch Menu TODAY IS A BLUE DAY Lunch for the Day - Meatloaf, Mashed Potatoes, Mixed Vegetables, and Dinner Roll Hey students— want a selfie in front of the Eiffel Tower? This is your chance! The Paris trip is still open, and the $400 voucher has been extended through October 29. If cost is holding you back, come talk to Mme. Brimer about ways to make it happen. Details are outside Room 29.. HOSA will be holding a fall bake sale TOMORROW. Baked goods will be available in the morning, during TL, and during lunches. Cash only, and all proceeds support Oceanside's HOSA club! Don't Forget! OHS is hosting a MaineHealth Flu Clinic TOMORROW for students, staff and their significant others! Financial Aid Night: Wednesday, October 14 at 6 PM for anyone interested in college! FAME Maine will be here to give an overview, answer questions and help you feel prepared for this next step. This event will be at OHS in the Cafeteria. No need to RSVP, just show up! Sophomores and Juniors- OHS will be hosting the PSATs on October 20. If you are interested in taking this test, see your Google Classroom for more information and the link to sign up. Have you signed up for Winter Sports? QR codes are available in the office and the lobby or visit the RSU 13 site and click on the Athletics. HOSA is collecting new stuffed animals for their Teddy Bear Clinic Volunteer Project at South School and TGS. Please bring donations to the front office by November 5. The following colleges, universities, and military branches will be visiting OHS: October 14: Bates College at 9 AM October 20: Colby College at 9 AM and U.S. Marines at 11 AM October 21: University of New England at 9 AM and University of Maine (Orono) at 9:30 AM IT'S DID YOU KNOW TIME! Did you know the filling in Kit Kats is made from damaged Kit Kats? The folks at the Kit Kat factory sure know how to recycle! Whenever a Kit Kat bar is somehow made imperfect during production, like air bubbles or some other issue, the chocolate bar isn't thrown out. Instead, they ground it into a fine paste and turn it into a filling that's then incorporated back into the production process to create new Kit Kat bars! The first 10 students who answer one of our questions correctly on Friday during Breakfast Break will receive a prize!
